When it comes to finding your new home, there are 2 Edmonton Halloween neighbourhoods that go a little over the top this time of year. If you want to live in a community that goes all out to enjoy these fall festivities, then you may want to consider moving to one of these Edmonton Halloween neighbourhoods.
Griesbach
The Annual Pumpkin Walk is a well anticipated events for members of this community. Community league members can register household members for the walk and get a free pumpkin for each member registered. Carve your pumpkin how you like and bring your pumpkin down for to the park on Pumpkin Walk Day. You’ll usually get to see over 400 pumpkins carved by community members with some fun interaction along your walk (some parts might be PG-13). The Pumpkin Walk is usually held the Saturday before Halloween and all the pumpkins end up gracing the front steps of homes in this neighbourhood on Halloween night – making this a fun community event to participate in each year!
Summerside
Evenings in the 2 weeks prior to Halloween If you love watching a number of community members go overboard on Halloween decorations, then stroll down Grande Boulevard in Summerside in south Edmonton. It’s easiest to stroll along rather than to drive this area. Most home owners have their decorations out about 1-2 weeks prior to Halloween, and walking between 88 Street & 70 Street is your best viewing. These home attract a lot of trick-or-treaters, so be sure to check in with your neighbours to see how many kids you might expect on your street.
Fabulous Trick or Treat Locations
And if you don’t want to live in an Edmonton Halloween neighborhood, but you want to trick or treat in a great area – these are some of my top suggestions for you:
WEST EDMONTON
Donsdale (especially Ravine area)
Wedgewood Heights
The Hamptons (Copperwood Pointe)
SOUTH EDMONTON
Terwillegar
Old Riverbend
Brook Hollow (Twin Brooks)
NORTH EDMONTON
The Quarry
Beaumaris
And don’t forget about West Edmonton Mall – they host a warm, safe, indoor trick or treat festival for kids from 6-8pm on Halloween night. Grab a treat map to see which stores will be handing out candy and if you get there early, grab a treat bag from Guest Services.
